THE ISLAND OF BALI

NUSA PENIDA
Nusa Penida Island is a paradisiacal destination located off the southeastern coast of Bali, Indonesia. The island is home to approximately 64,580 inhabitants. The majority of the population belongs to the Balinese people and practices Hinduism. Among the remaining residents, there are also about 960 Muslims and 88 followers of other religions. The island lies in the Bali Sea and covers an area of approximately 197 square kilometers. Nusa Penida is entirely composed of limestone.
THE GILI ISLANDS
The Gili Islands are a highly sought-after destination for travelers seeking a Robinson Crusoe–style escape. Local residents live either on Lombok or on one of the islands. Internal combustion motor vehicles are prohibited by local authorities (electric scooters are permitted for residents). For tourists, the available modes of transportation are walking, bicycling, and horse-drawn carts known as cidomo.

LOMBOK
